He was born in the 1950s in Norfolk, a place where "painting was not considered a worthy career at all" and was therefore not encouraged. Fortunately, the family of the future big ? an artist moves to Farnborough, East Hampshire, where his art teacher spots him. So Terry, aged 15, completed the O and A levels of art training that were available there. This opens the way for him to ? the boarding school in Farn? em. After college, his first job was as a scheduler in London, then an illustrator for the Yellow Pages. He develops his skills and the artistic direction he dreams of, mostly by working in the evenings and on weekends. Very soon, however, the young ? an artist begins to understand that his paintings are in high demand, and the little time he has for painting outside his office is woefully insufficient. Therefore, logically in 1984 comes his decision to get up? "full time" artist. And this turns out to be one of the most important and correct decisions he makes in his life. It is like a force that unleashes the enormous power of his talent - exhibitions, commissions on private commissions, demonstrations, and for some time now - art workshops accompanied by videos and books on painting with water colors, acrylics begin to line up. The main ones? novelties of the great landscape painter Terry Harrison are Constable and Turner. He never continued his work with oil, which he started with an educational purpose at the Art High School, because his great love was watercolour. In 1989 he began to develop his publishing business on some of his canvases, with reproductions of more than 150 of his paintings - landscapes, cricket and golf scenes - available in shops and galleries around the world. And that's not all - Terry starts publishing self-taught books for young people? artists, to make video tutorials as well as to market his brand of professional paints and paint brushes. Some of Harrison's most significant works also find a place in the collections of major puzzle manufacturers such as Gibsons. Everyone probably thinks that Terry, who has most of the 20 published books, with teaching, TV shows, exhibitions and managing the production of brushes, water and acrylic paints, just stays in his studio, paints and works, but this is not so.
